New York’s Algemeiner news website published a story about Wisconsin’s Marquette University student government passing a resolution endorsing BDS boycott of Israel over its occupation of Palestinian territories and it’s violent polices against Palestinians.
Algemeiner story is deceptive as it seeks to portray the resolution that endorses BDS boycott of Israel by the student body as somewhat as a “rejection of Israel right to exist” and that it was against Zionism.
While BDS has clearly stated on many occasions that its objective is to force Israel to end its occupation of Palestinian territories it occupied during the 1967 war. Algemeiner reporting is deliberately placing Israel and Zionism above legitimate opposition and criticism while at the same time engage in deliberate intimidation and character assassination tactics.
