Missouri bill to address antisemitism is going to wrongly limit criticism of Israel

Below is testimony I shared in our General Assembly in opposition to HB 2061/SB 1051, bills that, if passed, would limit criticism of Israel in our schools:

My name is Mark Haim. Haim, by the way, means “life” in Hebrew. Protecting and preserving life is core to my identity.

I am Jewish. I grew up in New York, but I’ve lived in Columbia for the past 54 years. I was Bar Mitzvah at age 13, and, in the Reformed Jewish tradition, confirmed at age 16.
