Michael Leven a major hotel and gambling casino executive has made a $50.000 controversial donation to “Canary Mission” a secretive organization dedicated to profiling and targeting Palestinian-American activists, college students, professors and civil rights leaders who support the Palestinians.
While Mr. Leven donation to other pro-Israel Jewish organizations is not unusual, his donation to “Canary Mission” however, is alarming. This is because this organization is engaged in collecting information and blacklisting of students and professionals alike in an attempt to smear their reputation as “anti-Semitic” for criticizing Israeli conduct in the occupied Palestinian territories. The blacklist created by “Canary Mission” has been used by overreaching government agencies and the Israeli government with devastating effects on the future careers of students and professionals. Secretive groups that target Americans exercising their right to free speech should be questioned and held accountable not supported.
