Far right US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene writes an Islamophobic tweet saying that “Islam is not a religion of peace” which has generated no proper reaction from US Congress or Twitter to denounce her words and hold her accountable for it. Greene, who represents Georgia’s 14th district, is a frequent offender of Muslims and other American minority groups. Her latest Islamophobic remark targeting Muslims and their faith will only encourage others to do the same and further deepen the Muslim American perception that Congressional leaders and the Social media will hardly react if Arab or Muslim Americans were at the receiving end of the offensive remarks but would do the opposite if they were to be accused of offending other groups.
