On July 28th, The House of Representatives passed the 2022 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs funding bill. This bill will give $3.3 billion to the Israeli government. This bill was narrowly passed by 217 members in favor and 212 members opposed. After a summer of further military oppression, occupation, and human rights abuses against native Palestinians, the U.S. makes it clear that they will continue to support states engaged in gross human rights violations and illegal occupation. This continued financial support has passed while Americans are suffering at home. These billions could have gone to COVID-19 relief or infrastructure. But instead, the U.S. once again makes the decision to abet genocide.
