Narmeen Choudhury an Emmy award winning journalist and former WPIX reporter in NYC was subjected to constant denigrating and racist insults from a colleague that it ultimately forced her to quit her job. This while the offending colleague is still at the job today. Despite Choudhury complaints about her colleague’s well-known bigotry and racism against Muslim-Americans, blacks and Latinos the station did nothing. Choudhury who is a native New Yorker, reportedly said on her Instagram account that she told the station managers about being targeted because of her race and religious affiliation, but instead she was told to ” deal with it.” Though the racist colleague was fired from the job at one point after he posted a racist meme against Rep Ilhan Omar, he eventually got his job back after the intervention of his union according to Choudhury.
