It was inevitable. Bari Weiss, the newly installed ultra-Zionist head of CBS News, long branded herself as a “truth to power” kind of reporter. And yet, her entire career has been devoted to catering to power and defaming actual critics and opponents of unjust power.
It was only a matter of time, then, that Weiss would use her position to enforce subservience to power. This past weekend, Weiss hijacked the editorial independence of the most popular news program, “60 Minutes,” to prevent them from airing a story on the El Salvador prison where many undocumented and even legal residents have been deported from the U.S. by the Trump Administration.
Before “60 Minutes” scheduled Sunday broadcast, Trump had just complained about the program’s coverage, probably in reference to the recent interview with Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
CBS News is owned by Zionist media mogul David Ellison, whom we have profiled here. Ellison wants to expand his media empire by buying Warner Bros., which would give him control of CNN. The acquisition would require approval from the Trump Administration. It isn’t exactly hard to figure out what is happening here. Weiss is destroying the most venerable American news program in an attempt to appease Trump’s demand for subservience and her boss Ellison’s business ambitions.
It should go without saying that while in the past, “60 Minutes” aired critical stories on Israel, those days are long gone. In the past, the then-Israeli ambassador to Washington, Michael Oren, called the head of CBS’s former parent company (Viacom) to try to get a story on Israel’s abuses against Palestinian Christian blocked from airing. Oren’s request was rebuffed. Today, no Israeli official would need to make such a call since Weiss and Ellison can be expected to do the blocking without any prodding. And Israeli officials and Zionists know they have CBS News in their hands, now, as many of them quickly tweeted their joy when Weiss was named the head of the news division. Weiss has never been shy about her fanatical devotion to Israel.
Her publication, The Free Press (purchased by Ellison as part of the deal that brought Weiss on board), is a center of Israeli propaganda, including publishing apologia for the starvation of Palestinian children in Gaza.
