Media Research Project

“The primary objective of the ADC-RI Media Research Project is to research, track, and document anti-Arab and Islamophobic bias in the media, public discourse, and from public officials. This tracking project will serve as a resource tool which will highlight the prevalence of bias and bigotry. The project will expose xenophobia and hatred that target minorities in the U.S., particularly Arab and Muslim Americans.
The project will also celebrate achievements of Arabs and Muslims from around the world.”

TikTok To Be Sold To IDF Backer

by ADC Team

After months of reports, it has been reported that TikTok, the nation’s most popular social media app, has finalized an agreement with “software giant Oracle and two investment firms as part of a deal to keep operating in the United States,” the New York Times reported.

Back in 2024, Congress passed legislation to force TikTok to either sell its American operations or be banned. The measure had stalled in Congress until pro-Palestinian content predictably alarmed members of Congress, who then proceeded to pass their TikTok bill. As then-Senator Mitt Romney noted,

“Some wonder why there was such overwhelming support for us to shut down potentially TikTok or other entities of that nature. If you look at the postings on TikTok and the number of mentions of Palestinians, relative to other social media sites — it’s overwhelmingly so among TikTok broadcasts.”

Two other members of Congress confirmed the story:

TikTok was also targeted by Zionist groups, and its reported sale has been praised by Benjamin Netanyahu, an indicted war criminal and Israeli prime minister. As we noted on our Substack:

The head of the ultra-Zionist ADL has publicly stated that “we really have a TikTok problem”. Netanyahu has called TikTok “the most important purchase going on now,” adding “I hope it goes through ‘cause it would be consequential.” (Netanyahu also added that “we have to talk to Elon [Musk],” the owner of X, formerly Twitter.)

And we’ve reported the absurd tale promoted by Hillary Clinton and her ilk that social media is to blame for the rise in anti-Israel sentiment,

The idea that social media is to blame has become a favorite talking point amongst Zionists. CNN pundit Van Jones recently joked about the “dead Gaza baby” constantly showing up on feeds and alleged that foreign influence is pushing the content. Former Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz also blamed social media, claiming that her “arguments in favor [of] Israel” are not resonating with young American Jews due to Hurwitz having to talk “through a wall of dead children.”

But young people resonate with pro-Palestinian content more than Israeli content because genocide is a bad product. Clinton et al blame the witnesses rather than the genocidal actor.

To Zionists’ delight, then, TikTok has now been sold to a trio that includes Larry Ellison, the founder of the aforementioned tech giant Oracle, and the world’s second-richest man.

Ellison is a financial backer of the Israel Defense Forces, who has contributed at least $26 million over the years to the Friends of the IDF. In 2017, he “gave $16.6 million — the largest single gift in FIDF history. “

Ellison is also an associate of Netanyahu, who’s been a guest on Ellison’s private island:

Ellison is also in contact with Israeli officials, as emails between Ellison and Israel’s then-UN ambassador in 2015 revealed. The emails concern Marco Rubio, who was then a presidential candidate, with Ellison assuring the Israeli ambassador that Rubio would be a supporter of Israel. In the 2016 election, Ellison donated $4 million to Rubio’s failed campaign.

Rubio is now, of course, Trump’s very pro-Israel Secretary of State. And the Rubio-Ellison relationship on Israel remains close, as Drop Site has reported:

As Secretary of State, Marco Rubio has played a role in the TikTok talks that steered the company toward Ellison, after long leading efforts in the Senate to demonize the app. He was also closely involved in rolling out Trump’s Gaza plan, which Jared Kushner tasked Blair’s institute with drafting earlier this year, according to the Times of Israel.

Ellison has given or pledged more than $350 million to the Tony Blair Institute, which Blair has used to advance Ellison’s vision of fusing government, corporate power, and tech surveillance. Meanwhile Oracle, by providing cloud and database infrastructure to giants like FedEx and NVIDIA, has quietly become one of the most powerful companies in the world.

Ellison’s son, David, as we have profiled, is also a strong backer of Israel. Relying on his father’s fortune, David Ellison is aiming to be a Hollywood mogul. His recent acquisition of Paramount Pictures gave him control of the broadcaster CBS. The younger Ellison wasted no time in appointing the Zionist propagandist Bari Weiss as the head of CBS’s venerable news division.

The groundwork for Larry Ellison has already been laid at TikTok, which definitely read the writing on the wall and appointed a former IDF soldier as its chief censor. The position is meant to monitor hate speech, but Zionists habitually mislabel any and all criticism of Israel as hate speech.

Given his ideological affinity and the very motive behind the Congressional bill that led to this sale, it is a wise bet that Ellison will stifle Palestinian perspectives on the platform. We’ll be monitoring developments.
